Moza Racing Multi-Function Stalks Review: Surprisingly Immersive Add On for Detail Focused Sim Racers

The Moza Racing Multi Function Stalks are one of the most unusual sim racing add ons released in recent years. Turn signals, wipers, and cruise control controls are things you would never expect to see outside of a trucking or farming simulator. I had the exact same reaction at first. They felt unnecessary, overly niche, and something I was sure would gather dust within a week. But after using them on my own rig, seeing how they integrate visually, and testing how they function in games, I was genuinely surprised at how much immersion they add.

They are not essential hardware and they will never give you a competitive advantage, but that is not the point. These stalks are designed purely for immersion and realism, and in that regard they deliver far better than I expected.

Design and First Impressions

Although they were developed with Moza’s Trucking Sim in mind, the Multi Function Stalks are not limited to one narrow use case. The module mounts behind your wheel using an included Moza quick release extension, and from there you get three independent stalks with a total of twenty eight programmable functions. The layout mirrors real road cars, yet the size and spacing are adapted to fit sim racing wheels.

Despite being injection molded plastic, the unit feels solid with a realistic tactile feel. Moza claims the internal components mirror those used in real automotive stalks, and based on the feedback and mechanical snap, I can believe it. Cycling through turn signals, tapping high beams, or changing wiper speed all feels surprisingly natural.

My only complaint is that the wiper speed selector lacks resistance, feeling a bit too light. Everything else has a reassuring firmness and predictable click, similar to what you would expect from an older Honda or BMW indicator stalk.

Immersion and In Game Use

I tested the stalks inside Assetto Corsa with Content Manager, and to my surprise, almost everything was configurable. Left and right turn signals, hazard lights, high beams, multiple wiper speeds, and more could all be mapped with no issues. Using them while cruising, drifting, or online driving added a level of realism that I had never considered before.

These stalks also auto cancel like real car indicators. Once you exit a turn, the stalk snaps back into its neutral position. This tiny detail is what sells the illusion. It feels like something that should not matter, but once you experience it, it becomes oddly satisfying.

These are not necessary tools, but they are fun, immersive, and add personality to your setup. And if you enjoy the aesthetic of a road car inspired cockpit, these elevate that theme dramatically.

Build Quality

From a construction standpoint, Moza did a great job considering the price. The stalks feel durable, the movement is consistent, and the internal switches feel designed for thousands of actuations. The only weak point is the wiper dial, which feels softer than the others, but it is not a deal breaker.

Installation is simple. The module mounts between your wheel and the base using Moza’s QR extension, and cable management is straightforward. The stalks sit close enough to reach comfortably, even on smaller wheels like the CS V2 or Moza KS.

These are visually clean, sturdy enough to take daily use, and look like they belong on the rig.

Compatibility

The Multi Function Stalks work on every Moza wheelbase that supports the Moza quick release system. They do not work on consoles, even with the Xbox compatible R3, as they require Moza’s PC based software for configuration.

Moza states that they can technically work with third party wheelbases, but there are no official mounting brackets, adapters, or hardware to support that yet. There are some 3rd party options, but these are often 3D-printed, like those from DaSimSimma.

It is worth noting that the stalk module and extension have zero impact on force feedback strength or feel. Running laps with and without the stalks attached showed no difference in responsiveness or road detail.

Who These Are For

These stalks are not a competitive tool. They are not meant for lap time improvement or sim racing performance. They are for players who value immersion, realism, and the aesthetics of a fully built interior.

If you are deep into cruising servers, drift maps, RP style driving, or anything that leans more toward car culture than esports competition, these are genuinely entertaining. They are also perfect for simulator setups that mimic real road cars, trucks, or cockpit style layouts.

They are unnecessary in the best way. They exist purely to enhance the experience, and they do exactly that.

Final Thoughts: Impressively Fun and More Immersive Than Expected

At 200 dollars, the Moza Racing Multi Function Stalks are not cheap, but for Moza wheelbase owners who care about immersion and the look of their setup, they are an easy recommendation. The self cancelling turn signals, the tactile feel, and the overall build quality create a sense of realism that is surprisingly enjoyable. They make your rig feel like a vehicle interior and unlock game functions that most sim racers ignore simply because they never had the hardware to use them.

They are niche, they are unnecessary, and they are also extremely fun. If you already own a Moza wheelbase and enjoy the visual and immersive side of sim racing, this is one add on that genuinely enhances the experience.
