Forums Wheelbase & Bundles Questions PC and PS5 compatibility

PC and PS5 compatibility

Hello all!  I am looking for recommendations for wheel, bases and pedals that are compatible with both Ps5 and PC. I have a very good gaming PC but also really want to be able to play Gran Turismo on PS5. I just bought a cockpit (6 Sigma 6s-80) Now just trying to decide on everything else. I am willing to spend $1000-1500 usd and this is going to be my first sim. Also how hard is it to switch between the two?

The 3 companies that you can choose from, if you’re on PS5, are Logitech, Thrustmaster, and Fanatec. All 3 of them also work on PC, and it’s pretty seamless from what I’ve heard. With a budget that big, I’m guessing you want a high amount of FFB, and the highest that Thrustmaster sells on console is 5 nm, with the T598, for $600 USD. I personally have the T598 on Xbox, and it’s actually a great option for someone a bit casual like me, but probably not great for a dedicated sim racer. The highest that Logitech sells on console is 11 nm, with their G Pro, going for $1200 USD for the base and wheel. The pedals are an additional $380 USD, but you can find the whole set on a sale for about $1280 on the Logitech website right now. You could also get the RS50 base and pedals for less, about $860 USD normal price or $730 USD on sale right now. The clutch is an additional $40. Finally, Fanatec has the most options for console bases, wheels, and pedals by far. You have the GT DD Pro, which is 8 nm for $740 USD, or $600 on sale right now, and the Clubsport DD+, which is 15 nm for $1180, or $900 on sale. On the pedals side, you have the CSL Load Cell, which comes with 3 pedals for $200 USD normal price. Then there’s the CSL Elite V2 pedals, which many people actually say feel the best of all of the pedal sets by Fanatec. This one is $330 new. And finally, the Clubsport V3 pedals, which go for $430 new. A lot of people say they feel spongy, but there is an upgrade kit by Fanatec that allows you to fix the feeling of these pedals. There’s too many wheel rims to go over, but the cheapest PS-compatible rim is the CSL P1 V2 wheel, which goes for $170 new, though there are different variations of that rim, like the WRC rim and the BMW rim that increase the price. For a GT style rim, the CSL GT3 wheel is the cheapest, coming in at $230 new. Hope this helps! And sorry for the whole essay
