Choosing between the Asetek Aluminum Button Color Kit and the Next Level Racing F-GT Pro Keyboard and Mouse Tray comes down to whether you want to customize your steering wheel's tactile feel or add essential utility to your cockpit. These are entirely different classes of accessories, targeting completely different aspects of your sim racing setup.
The Asetek kit is a proprietary cosmetic and tactile upgrade for Asetek SimSports steering wheels. The Next Level Racing tray is a functional cockpit accessory designed specifically for the F-GT Pro Cockpit.
If you already own an Asetek wheel and want to get rid of the default plastic caps, the $89.00 Aluminum Button Color Kit delivers a premium tactile upgrade, though VR users might find the cost hard to justify. On the other hand, if you own the F-GT Pro Cockpit, the $108.24 Next Level Racing tray adds crucial utility, despite some minor awkwardness in positioning the single-arm swivel and a slightly cramped mouse area.
