Sim-Lab unveils GTSL Ultimate steering wheel at Sim Racing Expo Frankfurt
Sim-Lab will unveil the GTSL Ultimate, a new version of its GTSL steering wheel platform, at Sim Racing Expo Frankfurt this weekend.
Simucube has unveiled the ActivePedal Sport, a more affordable version of its force-feedback pedal technology. The new model will make its public debut at SimRacing Expo Frankfurt from 16 to 18 October 2026, with a release planned for early 2027.
The ActivePedal Sport sits below the company’s existing ActivePedal Pro and flagship ActivePedal Ultimate. It retains the core haptic feedback functionality of the more expensive models while reducing maximum force, pedal travel and overall weight.
The ActivePedal Sport delivers a maximum force of 100 kg, compared with 170 kg for the ActivePedal Ultimate. Its maximum pedal travel is 60 mm, while the Ultimate offers 79 mm. The Sport also weighs 3.4 kg, making it considerably lighter than the 6 kg flagship model.
Despite these reductions, Simucube says the Sport maintains the build quality expected from its other products. The pedal can be configured for brake, throttle or clutch duties, allowing users to adapt it to different setups.
Like the other ActivePedal models, the Sport uses Simucube’s proprietary Tuner software to configure pedal behaviour and feedback effects. Users can adjust effects associated with ABS activation, wheel lock-up and tyre slip, providing additional feedback through the pedal itself.
Simucube is also including a 36-month warranty, offering three years of coverage for the new hardware.
The ActivePedal Sport is scheduled to go on sale in early 2027. Pricing varies by market and tax treatment.
Simucube will also offer the Sport in a bundle with a Co-Pedal and Link Hub. This package will cost €1,280 excluding VAT in Europe, $1,798 excluding tax in the United States, and £1,421.35 including VAT in the United Kingdom.
Visitors to SimRacing Expo Frankfurt will have the opportunity to experience the new pedal before its release. Johannes Suomalainen, Simucube’s Account Manager, is scheduled to present an ActivePedal keynote on Friday, 16 October, at 2 PM CEST.
Demo sessions are planned for Saturday and Sunday at 12 PM CEST at the Simucube booth. The event takes place at Frankfurt Messe from 16 to 18 October 2026.
The ActivePedal Sport gives Simucube’s active pedal technology a ‘lower’-priced entry point while retaining adjustable haptic feedback and support for brake, throttle and clutch configurations. Its reduced force and travel distinguish it from the Ultimate, but whether the Sport offers enough for its price will depend on how well it performs in practice. The upcoming Expo demonstrations should provide a first opportunity to assess its feel and functionality.
