This is the Fanatec ClubSport Formula V2.5X. It’s been a part of Fanatec’s lineup of wheel rims for a long time now, and I think it’s undoubtedly one of the best-looking. Today, I’ll be reviewing this unit, talking about all the good, the bad, and giving my thoughts on whether the ClubSport Formula V2.5X is still worth it in 2024. Fanatec ClubSport Formula V2.5X
270mm formula rim for PC, Xbox and PlayStation
VERDICT
One of Fanatec’s best looking rims, packed with functionality and usable on PC, Xbox and PlayStation, and good value for the money, as long as you can live with the QR1 default, the very light thumb encoders and shift lights that occasionally cut out.
BEST FOR
Fanatec owners wanting one rim for all platforms
NOT FOR
Buyers who want QR2 included as standard
What I Like- Works on PC, Xbox and PlayStation
- Zero flex with vibration motors in the grips
- Packed with controls, OLED and RGB lights
What I Don’t- QR1 included, QR2 costs extra
- Thumb encoders feel far too light
- Shift lights and OLED cut out

After using the Fanatec ClubSport Formula V2.5X for about two weeks, I’m genuinely impressed with the overall quality and performance. The wheel feels solid and premium, with excellent Alcantara grips and very responsive magnetic paddle shifters. The button layout is well thought out, and the rotary encoders make in-game adjustments quick and intuitive.
