We are looking at two entirely different classes of hardware here: MOZA offers a budget-friendly mounting plate to secure your wheelbase, while Asetek provides a premium electronic quick release for third-party wheels. Your choice depends entirely on whether you need to bolt down your base or swap out steering wheels with data pass-through.
The Invicta Quick Release requires careful handling, as users warn the connection pins can easily bend if you snap the wheel on without manually pulling the release lever. Additionally, the mechanism can sometimes bind up during detachment, and the threadless mounting holes require you to source your own nuts for certain wheels.
While the MOZA adapter is highly affordable, keep in mind that it can sometimes be difficult to find in stock. Depending on your region, you may also face high shipping costs that inflate its low base price.
If you simply need to mount a MOZA R5 or similar 40mm base to a standard 66mm rig pattern, the MOZA adapter is a cheap, rock-solid lifesaver. However, if you are in the Asetek ecosystem and want to run third-party wheels with a clean, wireless feel, the Invicta Quick Release is the premium pathway to take.
