ButtKicker Gamer PLUS V2vsInvicta™ Quick Release Adapter (USB-C)

The Bottom Line

The ButtKicker Gamer PLUS V2 and the Invicta™ Quick Release Adapter (USB-C) target completely different aspects of your sim rig. While the ButtKicker focuses on adding physical haptic feedback to your seat, the Invicta adapter is designed to securely mount third-party wheels to Asetek wheelbases.

Watch out

The ButtKicker's amplifier is prone to clipping and shutting down due to overheating when pushed too hard. For the Invicta adapter, the internal connection pins can easily bend if you snap the wheel on without manually pulling the release lever.

Note

Avoid the buggy proprietary HaptiConnect software and use SimHub telemetry to run your ButtKicker instead. Also, note that the Invicta adapter features threadless mounting holes, meaning you must source your own nuts to mount certain wheels.

Why choose ButtKicker Gamer PLUS V2

7
Performance
  • It significantly enhances immersion by translating telemetry directly into physical vibrations.
  • It offers universal compatibility across PC and consoles using USB, RCA, or 3.5mm connectivity.

Why choose Invicta™ Quick Release Adapter (USB-C)

8
Performance
  • It provides a completely solid, flex-free connection with zero play for third-party steering wheels.
  • The internal USB pass-through allows for clean, cable-free setups directly through your Asetek wheelbase.

The Verdict

Choose the ButtKicker Gamer PLUS V2 if you want to feel the track surface, provided you are willing to manage its thermal limits and software quirks. Opt for the Invicta Quick Release Adapter if you need a rock-solid, cable-free connection for a third-party wheel on an Asetek wheelbase.
