RaceSimStudio have officially released the RSS GT-MX Macca V8 for Assetto Corsa, bringing a new high-performance machine to their growing GT-MX category. Following the release of the Protech P92 F6 R, which resembles the Porsche 911 GT3 R Rennsport, this marks their second entry in the class and continues to build out a more extreme and track-focused lineup.
The GT-MX category is clearly positioned as a step beyond traditional GT3-style machinery, and this latest addition reinforces that direction. With increased power, more aggressive aerodynamics, and refined electronics, the Macca V8 aims to deliver a sharper and more demanding driving experience.

The McLaren 720S GT3 Evo represents an evolution of McLaren’s already competitive GT3 platform. Built on the lightweight carbon fibre Monocage II chassis, the car focuses heavily on aerodynamic efficiency, consistency over long stints, and improved drivability for both professional and customer teams. Compared to the original 720S GT3, the Evo introduces refined aero components, better cooling, and updates aimed at tire management and balance across varying track conditions.
Powered by a twin turbocharged V8 engine, the 720S GT3 Evo delivers strong and predictable performance within GT3 regulations. The focus is not purely on peak power but on usable performance, traction, and stability. It is a car designed to extract consistent lap times while maintaining reliability over endurance races, which is where it has built its reputation in real world competition.

This machine takes the foundation of their already available GT-M Macca and pushes it further into a more aggressive and unrestricted performance space. With an output reaching around 710 hp and an additional boost available through a push to pass system, the GT-MX version clearly separates itself from its GT counterpart.
Visually and technically, the car features a more aggressive aerodynamic package. Updates include a revised rear wing, an expanded diffuser, and a sharper front splitter setup.

The RSS GT-MX Macca V8 is positioned as a clear step above the standard GT-M class, focusing on more advanced handling characteristics.
The car delivers an estimated output exceeding 700 hp, with a noticeable increase over the base GT model with ‘only’ just over 500 hp. The push to pass system adds strategy, providing short bursts of additional power when needed.
Aerodynamic revisions include a larger front splitter, a redesigned rear wing assembly, and improvements to cooling efficiency. These changes aim to maximize grip and consistency.
Additional weight reduction and improved distribution result in a more responsive car.
Refinements to traction control mapping and overall performance logic help deliver a more precise and controllable driving experience, particularly under acceleration and corner exits.

With the GT-MX Macca V8, RaceSimStudio continue to expand their more extreme interpretation of GT racing within Assetto Corsa. The car builds on an already familiar platform but introduces enough changes in power, aerodynamics, and handling to feel like a distinct step up.
The combination of higher output, push to pass functionality, and more aggressive aero gives it a different identity compared to traditional GT3 style cars. It is aimed more at drivers looking for a faster and less restricted experience while still maintaining a level of realism and structure.
If RaceSimStudio continue along this path, the GT-MX lineup could become one of the more interesting alternatives for high performance GT style racing within Assetto Corsa.
