Three Historic Racing Classes Included

The GT Icons Pack is divided into three categories, each representing a different side of historic motorsport competition.

GT 70

GT 70 focuses on homologation-based race cars derived from road-going production models. These machines became increasingly aggressive throughout the early 1970s as manufacturers pushed performance further within touring and GT racing regulations.

Cars featured in the class include:

  • Porsche 911 Carrera RSR 3.0
  • Chevrolet Corvette C3
  • Ford Capri RS3100

Sports Car 67

Sports Car 67 shifts attention toward prototype endurance racing during what is often considered one of the sport’s most experimental periods.

Included in the category are:

  • Chaparral 2F
  • Ford Mk IV
  • Lola T70 Mk 3

These cars represent a time when manufacturers aggressively experimented with aerodynamics, chassis construction, and engine development in pursuit of outright speed. The Chaparral 2F in particular became notable for introducing massive high-mounted wings and early aerodynamic concepts that would later influence modern motorsport design.

GT 60

Completing the expansion is GT 60, a category centered around lightweight GT racers from the mid-1960s.

The lineup includes:

  • Shelby Daytona Coupe
  • Jaguar E-Type Lightweight
  • Corvette Grand Sport

Rocky Knoll Added as New Scanned Circuit

The GT Icons Pack also introduces Rocky Knoll, a scanned American road course featuring long straights, heavy braking zones, and fast-flowing sections intended to suit vintage race cars.

According to the description provided alongside the announcement, the circuit was designed to emphasize the driving characteristics of these historic vehicles, requiring drivers to balance speed with mechanical sympathy over longer runs.

The GT Icons Pack launches for Project Motor Racing on June 23.
