PXN GT ONE for $200: Aggressive Pricing Meets High-End Features

The new GT ONE steering wheel has officially been unveiled by PXN after months of anticipation. Many first got their hands on it during SimExpo in Germany last year, where PXN had it mounted on a rig right at their booth entrance. It left a solid first impression back then, but now it is finally here as a full release product.

With the GT ONE, PXN is stepping directly into a highly competitive segment. This wheel is clearly aimed at taking on options like the Moza KS and KS Pro, the Simagic GT Neo, and the Conspit 300GT. What makes it stand out immediately is the price. At just $200, PXN is going in aggressively and undercutting most of the competition.

Design and Build Quality

The PXN GT ONE features a 300mm diameter, which sits right in the sweet spot for GT-style racing. It feels natural for a wide range of cars and driving styles, offering a good balance between precision and leverage.

In terms of construction, PXN uses a fiberglass-reinforced composite frame paired with an internal steel core. The front is finished with a carbon fiber surface, giving it a more premium look than the price might suggest. The carbon fiber paddle shifters also add to that higher-end feel, at least on paper.

While it does not try to reinvent the design, it follows a familiar GT layout that most sim racers will feel comfortable with immediately.


Controls and Functionality

One of the main highlights of the GT ONE is the sheer number of inputs. PXN has packed in 78 programmable controls, which puts it right up there with more expensive wheels.

This includes 12 RGB buttons, two 7-way funky switches, thumb encoders, and multiple rotary encoders. There is also a dual-clutch paddle system, which is useful for race starts and more advanced driving techniques.

RGB lighting is fully customizable with 16.7 million colors, and with native SimHub support, users can integrate telemetry-based lighting without workarounds. This is a key feature, especially at this price point, where full SimHub compatibility is not always guaranteed.


Compatibility and Ecosystem

PXN takes a more open approach with the GT ONE. The wheel connects via a standard USB coiled cable and uses a Z QS quick release adapter, allowing it to work with a wide range of third-party wheel bases.

This is a strong advantage for users who are not locked into a single ecosystem. Instead of forcing buyers into proprietary solutions, PXN is keeping things flexible, which is always a plus in sim racing.

On the software side, the wheel integrates with PXN’s own SimRacing software for customization, alongside SimHub for more advanced LED configurations.


Positioning Against Competitors

The GT ONE enters a segment that is already well established. Wheels like the Moza KS and Simagic GT Neo have built a strong reputation, especially when it comes to reliability and ecosystem integration.

PXN’s main strategy here is obvious. Offer a similar feature set at a lower price. At $200, the GT ONE significantly undercuts most alternatives while still delivering a comparable level of inputs and functionality.

The question will be how it performs in long-term use. Build quality, button feel, and durability are areas where cheaper hardware often struggles, and this is where established brands usually justify their higher prices.
