SIMAGIC P-ACTIVE Active Pedal on Pre-Order at $999

SIMAGIC has unveiled the P-ACTIVE, its first active sim racing pedal, with a price of $999 per unit and a planned release in November 2026. The new pedal uses a servo motor and a synchronous belt drive to adjust pedal resistance and reproduce feedback effects based on in-game telemetry.

The P-ACTIVE was revealed during SIMAGIC’s The Next Lap global product launch, ahead of SimRacing Expo Frankfurt, which runs from October 16 to 18, 2026. The system enters the increasingly competitive active-pedal market, offering an alternative to conventional pedals that rely on fixed mechanical resistance and separate vibration motors.

Unlike traditional load-cell pedals, which measure applied force while relying on springs or elastomers to provide resistance, the P-ACTIVE uses a motor to actively control pedal movement and feedback. This allows the pedal to simulate different forces and reactions depending on what happens in the simulation.

Servo Motor and Active Feedback

The P-ACTIVE uses a servo motor connected to a 1:1 synchronous pulley and belt transmission. According to the announcement, this design is intended to provide smooth and quiet operation while allowing the system to react quickly to changes in driving conditions.

SIMAGIC has opted for a belt-driven mechanism rather than the ball-screw systems found in some competing active pedals. The approach gives the company a different way of controlling pedal movement while keeping the transmission relatively compact.

The system can reproduce several telemetry-based effects, including ABS activation, wheel lock, wheel slip and traction control. It can also simulate engine RPM and gear changes, expanding the range of feedback beyond braking alone. When configured as a clutch, the pedal can reproduce a clutch bite point.

These effects are designed to provide additional information through the driver’s feet. For example, simulated ABS activity could be felt directly through the brake pedal, while changes in resistance could help communicate different driving conditions. The actual experience will depend on software integration and how individual effects are configured.

Up to 180 kg of Pedal Force

SIMAGIC specifies a maximum pedal force of 180 kg, with the pedal structure rated to withstand a load of up to 250 kg. This gives the P-ACTIVE a substantial force range for users who prefer a firm brake pedal.

However, maximum force is only one part of an active pedal’s performance. The ability to adjust resistance, reproduce different feedback effects and respond consistently to telemetry will also determine how useful the system is during racing.

Since the pedal’s behaviour is controlled electronically, users may be able to switch between different pedal characteristics without physically changing springs or elastomers. This could make it easier to adapt the same hardware to different cars and driving styles.

SIMAGIC also supports configurations with up to three active pedals on a single rig. This allows users to build a setup with active feedback across the brake, throttle and clutch, depending on their preferred configuration.

Compatibility With Existing SIMAGIC Pedals

The P-ACTIVE is designed to work with SIMAGIC’s existing pedal ecosystem. Owners of the P1000 and P2000 can use the included adapters to mount an active pedal to their existing pedal plate.

A dedicated P-ACTIVE baseplate will also be available for installations built around the active system. The package includes the mounting adapters for the P1000 and P2000 platforms, along with a silicone pedal-face cover.

This compatibility gives existing SIMAGIC customers a potential upgrade path without requiring them to replace their entire pedal assembly. The exact installation requirements will depend on the user’s current setup and the number of active pedals being installed.

The P-ACTIVE also differs from the haptic feedback available on SIMAGIC’s existing P1000 and P2000 pedals. Those systems can use separate Haptic Pedal Reactors to communicate effects such as ABS and traction control through vibration. The P-ACTIVE instead uses a motorized mechanism to control pedal resistance and generate feedback directly through pedal movement.

SIMAGIC P-ACTIVE Price and Release Date

The SIMAGIC P-ACTIVE is priced at $999 per pedal, with commercial availability planned for November 2026. This places it firmly in the premium segment of the sim racing hardware market, where active pedals offer additional control over pedal feel compared with conventional load-cell designs.

SIMAGIC has not yet announced complete regional pricing for European and UK customers through all its international distributors, so the final cost in euros may differ from a direct currency conversion.

Visitors attending SimRacing Expo Frankfurt from October 16 to 18 will have the opportunity to try the P-ACTIVE alongside the other products introduced during The Next Lap event.

The P-ACTIVE gives SIMAGIC a new entry in the active-pedal category while providing a possible upgrade route for existing customers. Its belt-driven design, adjustable resistance and compatibility with the P1000 and P2000 platforms are key parts of the announcement. Whether the system can compete with established active pedals will ultimately depend on its performance, software support and how effectively its feedback translates into a more consistent driving experience.
