Race Sim Studio has shared a new development update on the GT-M Lanzo V8, its upcoming interpretation of the Lamborghini Temerario GT3 for Assetto Corsa. The car has been in production since November 2025 and is now approaching the final stage of development, although RSS has not yet announced a release date.
The update is relatively brief, but it gives us a better idea of how serious this project is. RSS describes the Lanzo V8 as one of the most technically detailed GT-M cars it has produced, with tens of thousands of lines of code and a wide range of visual configurations covering different racing categories.
The GT-M Lanzo V8 will join the GT-M Championship Phase 3 collection, which is focused on the latest generation of GT racing machinery. Race Sim Studio has already been steadily expanding this lineup, and the Lanzo should become one of its most recognizable additions once it arrives.
RSS has not published a complete specification sheet yet. We still do not know the final price, release date, included liveries, or the exact features that will separate each configuration. The latest announcement instead focuses on the amount of work going into the project.
The mention of tens of thousands of lines of code suggests that the car is receiving far more attention than a detailed exterior and a new sound package alone. Race Sim Studio regularly puts significant work into its physics, electronics, visual systems, and Custom Shaders Patch features, so the Lanzo V8 should be a fairly involved release.
The different visual configurations are also interesting. The real Temerario platform is being developed for several forms of competition, including GT3 and Super Trofeo racing. RSS has not explained exactly which versions will be represented, but the announcement suggests that the final package could cover more than one racing specification or appearance.
The road-going Lamborghini Temerario replaces the Huracán and represents a major change for the brand. Lamborghini has moved away from the naturally aspirated V10 and developed a new 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, supported by three electric motors.
The complete hybrid system produces 920 HP, allowing the Temerario to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.7 seconds and reach a top speed above 340 km/h. Its combustion engine can also rev beyond 10,000 rpm, which should give it a very different character from most other modern turbocharged V8s.
The Temerario GT3 takes the same basic platform in a more focused direction. GT3 regulations do not permit the road car hybrid system, so the racing version relies on a modified version of the twin-turbo V8. It is paired with a six-speed sequential transmission, while the final power output will depend on the Balance of Performance rules used by each championship.
Lamborghini also designed the Temerario platform with future motorsport versions in mind. The GT3 uses an adapted aluminum spaceframe, simplified removable bodywork, and aerodynamic changes intended to improve stability and make the car easier for teams to service during endurance events.
That background makes the Lanzo V8 an important addition to the RSS lineup. The older Lanzo V10 represented the previous Lamborghini GT generation, while this upcoming model moves the Assetto Corsa grid toward the newest Temerario-based race car.
Alongside the development update, Race Sim Studio has launched its Summer Sale. Selected products are currently discounted by up to 50 percent, with the promotion expected to continue until early September.
The sale covers existing Race Sim Studio products rather than a preorder for the Lanzo V8. It could still be a good opportunity for anyone looking to complete an existing GT-M grid, especially if they plan to add the new Lamborghini-inspired car once it becomes available.
Race Sim Studio has not yet confirmed whether the GT-M Lanzo V8 will be sold individually, included only with the Phase 3 pack, or available through both options. Other GT-M releases have generally been offered individually and as part of larger packs, so a similar release structure would make sense.
There is not a huge amount of information yet, but the GT-M Lanzo V8 appears to be getting close. Development began in November 2025, the car has reached its final stage, and RSS is emphasizing the amount of coding and visual configuration work involved.
For Assetto Corsa players building a modern GT3 grid, this should be one of the more interesting Race Sim Studio releases to watch. The real Temerario GT3 begins a new era for Lamborghini customer racing, and the Lanzo V8 should bring that platform into Assetto Corsa with the level of detail people have come to expect from RSS.
More previews are expected before release. For now, the Summer Sale gives existing players a chance to pick up older content at a discount while waiting for the GT-M Lanzo V8 to arrive.
