Gran Turismo 7 is finally getting one of its most requested content drops yet. Launching on June 11, 2026, the latest update brings five new vehicles to the game, with a heavy focus on modern endurance racing and current-generation hypercars.
The update introduces the Porsche 963, BMW M Hybrid V8, Ferrari 499P and Peugeot 9X8, finally expanding the simulator’s relatively small lineup of modern WEC and IMSA machinery. Alongside the new race cars, players will also receive the Porsche 911 Turbo S Safety Car, marking the first dedicated safety car added to the series since Gran Turismo Sport.
Since launch, many players felt that Gran Turismo 7 lacked representation from the current era of endurance racing. While the Toyota GR010 Hybrid helped introduce the Hypercar category early on, the overall selection remained limited compared to other racing simulators.
That finally changes with this update.
Polyphony Digital revealed the new content during the Gran Turismo World Series 2026 Round 1 in Milan, where the studio showcased a clear change in direction. Rather than focusing on additional road cars or Vision Gran Turismo concepts, the June update is centered almost entirely around top-level motorsport.
For endurance racing fans, this is easily one of the most important content updates the game has received since launch.
Among the new arrivals, the Ferrari 499P stands out as one of the biggest additions. Ferrari’s Hypercar has become one of the defining endurance racing machines of the modern era after securing three consecutive victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans between 2023 and 2025.
The Porsche 963 is equally significant. Competing across both WEC and IMSA competition, Porsche’s prototype remains one of the most recognizable and competitive cars in international endurance racing today.
Meanwhile, the BMW M Hybrid V8 and Peugeot 9X8 help round out the growing Hypercar field, creating far more variety for custom races and online competition.

The reaction from the community in the comments of the trailer has been overwhelmingly positive so far. Many players have spent months asking for more modern race cars, particularly current-generation Hypercars from WEC and IMSA competition.
For a large part of the player base, this update feels like the game finally embracing contemporary endurance racing properly. Instead of another batch of concept cars, players are getting some of the most relevant machines in motorsport right now.
With four modern Hypercars arriving at once, the June update could completely change the online racing landscape inside Gran Turismo 7.

The update launches on June 11 for both PS4 and PS5.
