Le Mans Ultimate V1.4.2 Update Adds Road Atlanta, Long Beach, 90+ Liveries and More

Le Mans Ultimate V1.4.2 is almost here, bringing another sizable update to the simulator alongside the second US Track Pack. The release adds Road Atlanta and Long Beach, more than 90 new liveries, continued online improvements, and a large collection of fixes following the V1.4 rollout.

Studio 397 is being pretty clear about the focus this time around. V1.4.2 is still being treated as a major update, but development has leaned heavily toward fixing existing problems rather than introducing another large batch of new features.

Road Atlanta and Long Beach Are Coming

The headline additions are Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta and the Streets of Long Beach. Both arrive as part of US Track Pack 2, following Daytona and Laguna Seca from the first American circuit pack.

Road Atlanta brings one of the most recognizable endurance racing circuits in the United States to LMU. Its elevation changes, blind crests, fast corners, and narrow layout should make multiclass racing particularly entertaining, especially with a 10-hour special event planned shortly after release.

Long Beach is a very different challenge. It becomes the first proper street circuit in Le Mans Ultimate, surrounding drivers with concrete walls and leaving very little room for mistakes.

US Track Pack 2 will cost $19.99, with a limited 10 percent launch discount. Anyone who already owns the full US Track Pass or has an eligible RaceControl Pro+ subscription will receive the circuits as part of that access.

More Than 90 New Liveries

V1.4.2 also gives the current grids a substantial visual refresh. The Hypercar liveries from the 2026 24 Hours of Le Mans were already added with V1.4, and this update completes the field with the latest LMP2 and LMGT3 Le Mans liveries.

The European Le Mans Series receives similar treatment. All three ELMS classes are being updated to represent the 2026 season, bringing the total number of new liveries in the release to more than 90.

It is mostly a cosmetic addition, but for a simulator built around officially licensed endurance racing, keeping the grids aligned with the current real-world season is definitely appreciated.

Online Racing Is Still Getting Attention

Studio 397 is also continuing to work through the networking problems that followed V1.4. The initial rollout of the new Reliable UDP networking system resulted in disconnections and some strange online behavior for certain players.

Some of those changes have already been rolled back while development continues, and the team is now using larger public network tests to help refine the system. Online stability and general user experience remain major priorities for V1.4.2.

This follows a recent fix targeting the phantom collision behavior that some players had been experiencing online. Considering how important close multiclass racing is to LMU, getting the networking back to the level players expect is understandably a big focus.

RaceControl.gg Is Getting a Redesign

Studio 397 has also shown the first preview of its upcoming RaceControl.gg website. The redesigned platform will eventually provide a much more detailed race schedule and allow players to register for events directly through a web browser without launching the game first.

That feature is not actually launching with V1.4.2. The current reveal is only an early preview, with the new RaceControl.gg platform planned for V1.5 later this year.

Why This Is V1.4.2 and Not V1.5

Despite the new tracks and liveries, Studio 397 says this release is primarily about polish. The developers have deliberately spent more time on bug fixing, online stability, and existing user experience issues rather than pushing out another large feature update.

V1.5 is still planned for later in 2026 and is expected to bring the final two circuits from the US Track Pass, the new RaceControl.gg experience, and further work on the single-player side of Le Mans Ultimate.

Final Thoughts

Le Mans Ultimate V1.4.2 looks like a useful update even if most of the development work is happening behind the scenes. Road Atlanta and Long Beach add two completely different American circuits, while the 2026 liveries keep both Le Mans and ELMS grids current.

The networking fixes may end up being even more important for regular players. V1.4 introduced some frustrating online problems, so continued work on stability is probably exactly where Studio 397 should be spending its time before the next major feature release.

V1.4.2 and US Track Pack 2 are scheduled to arrive on September 22, 2026.
